MEET CINDY

Cindy A. Bell is the mother of three boys with a B.S. in elementary education. As a lifelong children’s book enthusiast, she believes that books can invite meaningful conversations about “big feelings” that children may encounter. Having divorced parents and three adopted family members, she is no stranger to rejection and the uplifting process of redemption. It is her hope that I Love You, Fiorella, Flaws and All! will help others who have been through similar experiences such as divorce, adoption or unacceptance. Her new book Fiorella’s Oopsie Daisey Day is about learning from the mistakes we are all prone to make and how important forgiveness is to us all.

This Mississippi native enjoys a good dose of vitamin sea and spending time with her family. When not cheering on her boys at a sporting event, you can find her volunteering or being creative. Occasionally, Cindy’s a nervous co-pilot to her husband of 30 years but she most enjoys taking a walk, sipping on a hot cup of coffee and reading a good book!

MEET EMILY

Hailing from England, now based near Cape Town, South Africa, Emily is a children’s book author and illustrator. She thrives on visual and verbal storytelling and especially loves collaborating with other authors and small businesses and breathing life into their stories with her illustrations. Copious amounts of tea and the odd slice of cake help to grease the wheels of Emily’s creativity!

MEET LUCY

Lucy is a special little lady who is the inspiration for the book character, Fiorella. She was adopted by the author's son and daughter-in-law in April of 2018 from the West Point Animal Shelter. She is very thankful for her new family and is living her best life now. When not chewing on things, Lucy loves to run in figure eights, go on walks and hang out with her new baby, twin brothers, Hayes and Luke!
